Spamfighter does not seem to be compatible with Thunderbird 3.0 - the Spamfighter Toolbar cannot be enabled. Any suggestions?
I believe that this is being worked on but not yet available. It needs more than just adjusting the install.rdf file in the installer as even with this updated for TB 3 it only allows it to display the toolbar but the Block/Unblock buttons don't work.
I asked the people at Spamfighter: simply wait for an update or go back to Thunderbird 2. I have choosen to wait. I guess an update will be available soon.
There were still problems with Thunderbird 3 and Spamfighter Versions 7.0.63 / 7.0.65 and 7.0.67 - but the latest version of Spamfighter (7.0.82) seems to have finally solved the problems.
Not for me. I get a crash of the main Thunderbird .exe file and so long and thanks for all the fish. I just wish they would make an .xpi file and get it over with it would be far easier to install the functionality of the program it is what it looks for and when it cannot find the .xpi it crashes.
Oh well I suggested this to Support but doubt they will listen but at least to my way of thinking even if you installed the main program file at that point the .xpi file could do the rest of the work form within Thunderbird. I'm no programmer and it shows but I do know this system is not working and it is a shame because it is a great program.
Thanks for listening.
Thank you for sending the log file to us. Please note that SPAMfighter for Thunderbird 3.0 is in beta (this means it is not an official release but we are letting people test it as we prepare it for release)
The official version should be free of major issues, if you would like I can send you an email when the official version for Thunderbird 3.0 is released.
I use Thunderbird 3.0.3 under Win7 with SPAMfighter 7.0.82.
The toolbar is visible and the SPAMfighter folder has been automatically created under Local Folders.
If I start Clean Folder, a large amount of spam is being detected but not marked or moved to the SPAMfighter folder.
Is this an issue related to the versions used or do I have a wrong setting somewhere?
This could be an issue related to the beta version of SPAMfighter for Thunderbird 3.0
Could you send an email to me at johnb@spamfighter.com ? I will personally look into your case, it may be an issue that needs to be reviewed by our developers but we should be able to find a solution for you.
thank you
john
