Hi

I recieved an email saying i had a parcel to collect in the subject line. When i opened it about 10 000 emails downloaded into my mail box. They are from bbcnews/frontline/world edition,

I tried to block them, after moving them to my junk email folder, and when i do the option to block is not available.

I downloaded spam fighter, and when I hit the block button they dont move into the spam email folder.

I have moved them all manually, but cant tell if they have been blocked or not.

Can any one tell me...is this spam mail or a virus? I ran the virus checker and it picked nothing up, as well as running windows advanced system care pro.

Has any one else had this happen,. Is there somewhere i can get info on this. I dont know at this stage whether the spam fighter has blocked them or not, but even so, I would like to understand what has happened here, so if it happens again i know what is going on. I dont think i have ever had spam before.

Please help with info

thanks

june

Hello

If SPAMfighter is installed and working on your PC, you should block mail in your in-box. To do this, highlight the email as it sits in your in-box and click "Block" in the SPAMfighter toolbar. SPAMfighter sends unwanted mail to the "SPAMfighter" email folder, not the "Junk" email folder. It could be malware or a virus but more likely it is just that the spammers see you have opened and email and therefore are a real person, then sent a large amount of spam to the address.

If you are having trouble with the program or do not see the SPAMfighter toolbar in your mail client after installing the program, please let us know and we will help you find the issue.
