Hello I recently installed spamfighter with Thunderbird, and it is putting EVERYTHING into my spam folder. I have to literally whitelist everything that comes in, and it's getting really annoying. It doesn't matter what it is, whether it's an email from a friend, or a confirmation email from a company where I've bought something online. (i.e. these aren't suspicious looking emails), EVERYTHING is being put into my spam folder.
I noticed this right away when I first installed it and selected "clean folder" for my inbox like the instructions suggested, and it put every email into the spamfighter folder.
Anyways I fail to see what use this product is, if I have to go in and manually whitelist every email I get.. Which by the way still doesn't fix things, as I've whitelisted several email addresses like emails I got from Paypal when I had to change my password, and Spamfighter STILL sent those into the spam folder.
Haha guess what? As I'm typing this I got an automated response email from the Spamfighter forum saying that I created a new account, and guess where it went? That's right, my Spamfighter folder lol.
I guess I'll have to whitelist emails even from Spamfighter itself.
Well I'm uninstalling it now...It's moving even addresses that I've whitelisted into the spam folder. Even if I move them back into my inbox, it then moves them right back into my spamfighter folder....Goodbye Spamfighter. Can't say it's been fun.
Can you tell me if the folder is labeld "SPAM" or "SPAMfighter"?
SPAMfighter should never move all mail to the SPAMfighter folder. If you would like me to take a look at your account please send me an email and include what you are seeing to support@spamfighter.com.
Please send me a screenshot of what you see.How to take a screenshot:While you have the message you want to capture displayed on your screen, please do the following:* Press "Print Screen" on your keyboard to capture the screen (the key can also be named: "Prt Scr" and is usually located to the right of your F12 key).* Select "Start" -> "Programs" -> "Accessories" -> "Paint".* Press "Ctrl" + "V" to paste the screenshot into "Paint".If you receive a message that says: "The image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap. Would you like the bitmap enlarged?" click "Yes".* Select "File" -> "Save As".* In the Save field, select a location to save the file, such as your Desktop.* In the File name field, type in a name for the picture.* In the Save as type field, select .bmp, .gif, or .jpg. You may choose any option.* Click "Save".Now attach the image in a reply to this e-mail.
Hi John
I'll have to install it again, but yes it was the spamfighter folder,
and it would move every message that I received into it. When I first
installed it and selected the option to run spamfighter on my inbox (as
the instructions suggested), I thought it strange that it started moving
all of my email into the spamfighter folder. After that, every email
that I got, it flagged as spam and moved it into the spamfighter
folder. I even whitelisted domains, and it would still move them into
the spamfighter folder.
Anyways I'll try installing it again, and see if it works properly this
time. If it still does the same thing, I'll email you a screenshot.
Matt
